Moves are hard to describe
A dance, a way of walking or unpacking a product step by step: words do not describe movement well. Motion control skips the words. You film the move, and the model gives that move to your character.
What to film
- One person, fully in frame, head to feet if the whole body moves.
- A steady camera.
- A plain background and good light.
- A short clip: the price follows its length.
Motion control or recast?
Motion control keeps the move and puts your character in its own setting. Recast keeps your scene and swaps the person. Choose by what you want to keep.
Use clips you filmed or have the rights to. The studio asks you to confirm consent once before the first run.
Questions
Does the character keep its face?
Yes, when you use a saved character: its full body becomes the start frame.
Can I use a clip from the internet?
Only if you have the rights to it.
