dGEN Visual Studio

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions people actually ask, answered without hedging. If something here turns out not to be true, it is a bug and we will fix it.

What is dGEN Visual Studio?

A studio for generating images and video with AI. It carries 46 models: 14 that make an image from a prompt, 9 that edit an image you already have, and 23 for video. You can work three ways , a straightforward generator, an assistant that sets it up for you, or a node canvas for work that repeats.

What does it cost?

You pay per generation, in credits. What a run costs is on the button before you press it, and it depends on the model , for video also on the length, the resolution and whether sound is generated. There is no subscription yet: the studio is not open for sign-ups, so there is nothing to buy. Join the waitlist and you will hear when that changes.

What happens if a generation fails? Do I lose the credits?

It depends on why, because the two cases cost us differently. Something broke on our side or at the provider? The provider does not charge us, so you get every credit back. The model refused your request after it had already started? Then the provider does charge us for the attempt, so you get our margin back and the purchase price stays with us , you pay only what it really cost, never more. If the provider tells us it charged nothing, you get everything back. Every refund is in your credit history with the reason next to it.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. We claim no ownership of your results and place no restriction of our own on using them commercially. Every one of the 46 models is marked by its provider as licensed for commercial use , we checked all of them, not a sample. What you are responsible for is in Content and Licence.

Do I own the copyright in what I generate?

Probably not automatically , and anyone who promises otherwise is selling you certainty they do not have. Under Dutch and European law copyright needs a human creator, so material generated purely from a prompt may not be protected at all. You are free to use it; you may not be able to stop someone else using something similar. The more of your own creative choices go in , your own photo as the source, your own style model, your own editing , the stronger your position.

Do you train models on my prompts or my images?

No. We do not use your material to train, fine-tune or improve any model, and we do not sell it or hand it over for that. For the assistant, every request carries an instruction to route only to providers that do not collect data and only to endpoints that retain nothing , set in our code on every call, not in a dashboard setting somebody could flip. What we cannot do is audit a provider inside its own systems, and we say so rather than imply otherwise.

Where are my files kept, and for how long?

In the European Union, in private storage that is only reachable through short-lived signed links. They stay as long as your account does. Delete your account and it all goes , the flows, the runs, the credit history, and the files in storage, which we remove explicitly because storage does not follow a database cascade. Uploads that never finished are cleaned up after 24 hours.

Can I upload a video?

Yes , MP4, WebM or MOV, up to 50 MB. That limit is the measured ceiling of our storage rather than a number we picked. Use it as the source for video-to-video, or as a reference.

Can I bring my own LoRA?

Yes. Upload the .safetensors file or point at a public link. 7 of the models take one, and the studio picks a model that matches the family your LoRA came from, so you do not have to work out that combination.

Can an AI agent use the studio for me?

Yes. The studio is an MCP server, so Claude, Claude Code or your own agent can run your flows, generate images and video, and look up your files. You grant permission once on a screen of ours, you see everything it did , including what we refused , and revoking works immediately for access already issued. How that works.

How many things can I run at once?

Up to 6 at a time. That is not about cost , credits already handle that , but about not letting one account exhaust provider capacity everyone shares. Going over it gets you a clear message, not a charge.

Can I sign up?

Not yet , the studio is still internal and registration is closed. Join the waitlist and you will hear when it opens. You are on the list only after you confirm the email, and we use your address for nothing else.
