What it is

Wan 2.2 Animate takes two things: a clip with a person moving, and an image of a character. Move gives the character the moves from your clip, in the setting of its own image. Replace puts the character where the person in your clip was, and keeps the room, the light and the camera.

It is the cheapest of the three ways to put a character into a clip you have, next to Kling motion control and MiniMax H3 Max Recast. At 480p it is a fraction of what the other two cost per second.

It runs at 480p, 580p and 720p. The price follows the length of your clip and its frame rate.

What it is good at

Your clip stays your clip

Replace keeps the room, the light and the camera move from your footage. Only the person changes.

The moves come along exactly

The timing of every step and turn follows your clip, so a dance or a gesture lands on the same beat.

Low cost per try

Cheap enough to try a move a few times before you pick the take you post.

Where it struggles

  • It holds a face and an outfit, but unusual proportions can soften: in our test a character with a very long neck came out with a shorter one. For a character with an extreme shape, Recast held it better.
  • At most 720p. For sharper results, upscale the clip after.
  • Only use clips you filmed yourself or have the rights to, and faces of people who agreed to it. The first run asks you to confirm.

How to prompt it

There is no prompt. Bring a clip where the person is fully in frame and moves clearly, and an image of the character standing, from head to toe.

An example that shows what that means

No prompt. Bring a five-second clip of someone dancing in a living room, filmed on a phone on a tripod, and a full-body image of your character standing on white.

What we offer here

Straight from the catalogue, so this list never goes stale. The price is the provider’s published rate with our markup on top, and it is on the button before you run anything.

Questions

What is the difference between move and replace?

Move gives your character the moves from the clip, in the setting of its own image. Replace puts your character in the clip itself, so the room and the camera stay.

How is the price worked out?

Per second of your clip, counted at 16 frames per second. A clip filmed at 30 frames per second therefore counts almost twice. The exact amount is on the button once your clip is attached.

Can I use a character from dGEN Influencer?

Yes. Open the character, choose Swap into a video, then pick Wan 2.2 Animate as the model and add your clip.
