Recast "replaces the main people in a source video with people from reference photos", keeping "the original motion, gestures, camera, shot timing, and soundtrack". Extend adds a continuation to a clip, Insert writes "a new scene between two selected points in an existing video", and 3D to video turns "Blender renders and 3D previs into photorealistic video". Recast swaps the people in a clip for the people in your photos, up to four of them, and keeps the motion, the cuts and the sound. One shoot, several casts. You confirm once that you have permission from the people involved.

Where it struggles
- Recast takes videos up to 30 seconds, with no single shot longer than 15 seconds, at 768p or 1080p.
- For tools that work on your video, the price follows its length. The Studio reads that from MP4 and MOV files; for other formats it asks you to convert first rather than guess.
- 3D to video uses your render as guidance: fal states that "exact geometry, camera paths, and motion are not guaranteed".
- fal runs promotional rates on parts of this family. The amount on the button is the rate after the promotion ends, so the price you see stays true.
How to prompt it
Name the movement rather than the scene, and say it in the order it happens. The opening frame already carries what things look like, so spend your words on what changes. With Recast, the prompt is optional: use it to say who becomes whom when there is more than one person.
