Kandinsky 6
by Kandinsky Lab
Cinematic video from a long prompt, and an upscaler that keeps frames steady.
What it is
Kandinsky 6.0 comes in two video models and an upscaler. Pro is "Kandinsky Lab's flagship text-to-video model, generating high-resolution clips with cinematic motion and precise prompt adherence"; it "handles long, structured prompts with multiple constraints, and it supports camera moves and complex scene dynamics".
Lite is "the speed-focused model in the Kandinsky 6.0 video lineup", made "for rapid iteration, drafts, and high-volume pipelines". Both make five-second clips from a prompt or from a still, and both understand English and Russian prompts natively.
VSR is a separate tool: it "restores and upscales video, recovering fine detail and textures while keeping frames temporally consistent", on generated and on real footage.
What it is good at
Pro is built for briefs that list several things that all have to be true. Write them all down; that is what it is for.
Lite costs a fraction of Pro for the same five seconds. Try the idea on Lite, render the keeper on Pro.
VSR keeps frames consistent with each other, which is where most video upscalers fail. You pay per frame, so a short clip costs little.
Where it struggles
- Every clip is five seconds. There is no longer setting.
- Pro is one of the most expensive video models in the Studio per clip. The step count drives the price: fewer steps cost less and look rougher. The amount is on the button.
- Clips render at 480p unless you choose an upscale, which costs extra.
- VSR prices by the frames of your video. The Studio reads that from MP4 and MOV files.
How to prompt it
Pro rewards structure: one sentence for the subject, one for the setting, one for the camera, one for what changes over the five seconds. Lite works best with shorter prompts and a clear single action.
An example that shows what that means
A fishing boat leaves a small harbour at dawn. The camera starts low on the quay and rises slowly as the boat passes the lighthouse. Gulls cross the frame from left to right. Mist on the water, soft pink light, no people visible.
What we offer here
Straight from the catalogue, so this list never goes stale. The price is the provider’s published rate with our markup on top, and it is on the button before you run anything.
Questions
Pro or Lite?
Lite to find the idea, Pro to deliver it. Lite is several times cheaper per clip and much faster.
Can it upscale a video I made with another model?
Yes. VSR works on any MP4 or MOV, from any model or from a camera.
Why is the step count a setting?
Because it drives both the quality and the price. More steps is cleaner and slower; the Studio shows the cost of each choice.
